plot initially skeptical, dylan agrees to the activity after spending a night out with jamie in st. Petersburg. He moves to new york, signing a one-year contract where jamie gets a commission and the girlfriends become close, platonic friends. One night, having agreed that porn is not to blame for demanding emotional attachment, they engage in purely casual sex. After two or three dates, jamie decides to start dating again, and the counselors and dylan become apparently friends again.
Jamie contacts parker, an oncologist. After five dates, the sunglasses finish their job, but in the morning he breaks up with her. When jamie's free-spirited mother, lorna, gets rid of her plans for a fourth of july party, dylan persuades jamie to take the development to los angeles. There she establishes contact with the zodiac sister annie, sammy's nephew and his father, who suffers from a premature stage of alzheimer's disease. Although jamie and dylan assure his family that they are also friends, they spend an intimate night together and have sex again. The next day, jamie overhears dylan telling annie that jamie is too "damaged" in his eyes to date. Hurt, she flies home and ignores dylan's attempts to contact her. A building material finds her in the basement of a skyscraper—an institution she showed the percentage maker of their daily meeting—in which she admits to hearing absolutely everything he said, and stops their friendship.
Some time later, jamie discovers that dylan can leave gq for whatever job he wants before his contract expires, which will affect her commission. She confronts him, which provokes another argument. Jamie lives with his own mother, and dylan meets his own father at newark liberty international airport. In the process of confusion caused by alzheimer's, his dad mistakes a passerby for a woman from his past. Upon regaining his senses, he explains that he met "the love of my life" before he married dylan's mother, but let her go. Dylan's father urges the concrete to avoid doing the same and come to terms with jamie.
Realizing his true feelings for jamie, dylan calls lorna to set up an excuse for jamie to go to the first train station. In which he can surprise her with a dance flash mob to "jump" and "closing time". Confessing his feelings to us, and with a twinkle kiss, dylan suggests that they aim for the initial real date. They cross the street at restaurants in pershing square and are never able to tear themselves apart.
In the post-credits scene, dylan and jamie watch clips from a fictional romantic comedy seen during the full movie.

In april 2010, justin timberlake became the first to sign on to the project.[6] the spectacle was soon followed by mila kunis when she landed the female lead opposite him. A month and a half later, variety magazine announced that they would be joined in the film by an ensemble cast consisting of emma stone, patricia clarkson, richard jenkins, woody harrelson, andy samberg and jenna elfman. 3 days after the first days of principal photography, bryan greenberg completed the cast. The film features cameo appearances by sean white, jason segel and rashida jones. The production sites were conceived as early as july 13, and the main filmography began on july 20, 2010 to midtown manhattan in new york. Filming continued in central park and other parts of new york from july to early august, before production moved to los angeles, california. Film as soon as their director ivan reitman renamed his cinema "non-committal". The screen gems then moved on to the name friends with benefits. At the same time, nbc was developing a sitcom with a similar title, but the film company said that due to the production schedule, the films did not expect difficulties. Screen gems decided to speed up production, fearing that they would actually lose their own title in the sense of the competing paramount project. Director will gluck spoke of the disappointment caused by the comparison of the two films, stating, "i have to make more of a place come out of them. What annoys me now is that people they claim that our confectioners are reworking "no possibilities". Our company do not remake it. Both films were shot at the same time.”[13] gluck told the new zealand herald that both films are different.[14] similar sentiments were expressed by kunis, stating, "it's undeniably two different films. The first theatrical trailer was developed on march 16, 2011.[16] the trailer was subsequently produced on youtube and garnered over several million views for the installation of the frame pool, becoming the second most requested video of the day and the most viewed porn in the movies section. The friends with benefits promotion subsequently expanded to include promotional videos from facebook and twitter. Timberlake and kunis also appeared on the cover of elle to help the film.[18][19]
Screenplay[edit]will gluck stated that the concept of the story began with ideas about everything that he the application wanted to work with kunis and timberlake, explaining that the player had rewritten the script for both actors. After these changes, gluck stated that he wanted to attract a more adult audience and what a useful thing he thought to build more fucking and relationship porn. He went on to compare the friends with the right storyline to the commercial relationship between katharine hepburn and spencer tracy.[21]

In an interview with movieline, gluck further discussed the movie's plot, stating that " friends with profits” are associated only with the younger generation. He added: “they comment on these soviet comedies at all stages of the film, and as they progress through their story, loved ones realize that the wallpaper in a solitary comedy is, as two ordinary people would say, that they cannot be chosen in a cinema. Great to see them taking part in a story like this...Only in the end they accept that they're having a romantic comedy moment." [23] in an interview with los angeles times, timberlake explained that partner and gluck was responsible for the humor and undertones in friends for pleasure. Timberlake and kunis worked on the script for over a month before the film went into production. Gluck confronted the actors with 20 pages of outline in front of him, and almost all three of them played with him, changing lines and defending each character's opinion.@>in june 2011 it was announced that madison gate records would be distributing the 15 song album. Release[edit]the film was released on dvd and disc blu-ray in the us on december 2, 2011 and in the uk on february 6, 2012, the film has an approval rating of 68% based on 170 reviews, with an average rating of 6.20/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "friends with benefits adds nothing new to its hackneyed rom-com formula, but the chemistry between justin timberlake and mila kunis is almost enough to make the film stand on its own." The film holds a weighted average score of 63 out of 100 based on 37 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Audiences polled by cinemascore gave the film an average grade of b+ on an a+ to f scale. And commitments are open and open. The important questions about the inherent clash between changing mores and traditional values are a bit confusing. The sex talk is graphic, the sex itself is explicit and energetic, and jamie and dylan have a kind of tenderness that makes you want to root for them. Predictable and benign; however, he praised the cast, calling kunis a "natural comedian" while timberlake "exudes the stellar power that put will smith in first place." Similarly, salon's andrew o'hehir argued that despite the disappointing conclusion. The film, however, was "wholesome summer entertainment". The guardian writer peter bradshaw reacted negatively to the film, stating that "there was no benefit in watching it". Bradshaw gave the film one out of five stars. Concluding his review, sandhu awarded friends with benefits three out of five stars. Betsy sharkey of the los angeles times praised the film's acting, commenting that "it [brought] a lot of natural life to the party." Michael rechtshaffen of the hollywood reporter gave the film a positive review, stating that there was "palpable chemistry" between timberlake and kunis. Entertainment weekly writer owen gleiberman gave friends with benefits a b-, stating that while he enjoyed much of the film, he found it inconsistent. "Friends with benefits" begins with the premise that their characters and you are fed up with romantic comedy clichés that they may or may not secretly adore are looking for ways to address this issue because they were never given the opportunity to grow an emotional landscape from a caring, approachable parent. Become caretakers. And caring is part of “going after a broken person” and trying to fix them.” He went on to add that “love addiction ending happily ever after is not a good message.”[43]
Timberlake added that "friends for the beneficial oh" is a movie for "our generation; people between the ages of 25 and 30 who are moving into another part of their lives. They're not sure what commitments are right for them or what they're going to do for the rest of their lives." Perks was released in north america on july 22, 2011 in 2,926 theaters. It grossed $6,801,594 on its opening day and then grossed a total of $18,622,150 on its opening weekend, finishing third at the box office behind captain america : the first avenger and harry potter and the deathly hallows. On august 18, 2011 and earned $2.4 million in its opening weekend, beating green lantern to number one at the box office.
